I'm really starting to feel bad for Edinburg News ... she writes her own articles and comments to herself. What a bee-squatch. LOL.

Here is her latest post so you can comment.

Here you have Joe Ochoa and Gus Garcia in one corner. Then you have Noe, Alma, and Gene in the other. How would you go about getting another vote if you were in Joe’s corner? The other three council members have been instructed by the P family to continue to do as the P family wishes. Or else!

It’s not about the best interest for the city of Edinburg. It’s still about the interest of the P family. So here are the million dollar questions. Do you sit back and wait till 2008 for Gene to be up for re election? Or do you go out and do something else?

The answers to both those questions will be answered in time. We all know how the P family started in the business industry. And we know how they made money through the city.

So if you were Noe, Alma or Gene what would you do? Stay with a family that wants to continue to make money within the city. Even after the voters basically told them to take a hike. Or you become an independent voice? Because from the way it looks you all don’t have an independent voice.

Alma was put there by Richard. Alma worked with Richard. So Alma is in debt with Richard. Alma is no politician. So if I were you. I would step down. Cause the pressure is going to get real bad and real fast. You haven’t been there long enough for you to have a track record on how you vote. But im sure we can find a lot of things where Oscar Garza is concerned.

Did you all know that at one time Oscar was on the verge of going bankrupt? And now claims to be a millionaire. So how did he become so rich so fast?

Noe Garza has his paws in GV Transportation in Alamo. Which the city of Edinburg gives a handsome check to every month. Noe Garza is not for Edinburg but for himself.

And now for Gene Espinoza. Or should I say hot check Gene. Here is man that claims to be an independent voice. Not true. Here is a man that wrote hot checks to the roadrunners. You see he would use the sky box for the baseball games and you could order anything you wanted. And this is where he would write check after check and they went bouncing up and down.

Gene used to own Bug B Gon and that went down the tubes. Then there was Edinburg Trophy and that went down the tubes. Now he is at Rio Grande Steel. What did he do there to earn his stripes? You all know that answer.

It’s going to get very interesting very fast. So sit back lock your doors get your popcorn and watch. Cause you all haven’t seen anything yet. Like I’ve said in the past I’m just getting started.

The Calm Before the Storm

How many sexual assaults do you need before an arrest is valid? Is it 3? Could it be 5? It should be just one and nothing has been done. Seems like the Joe Ochoa just looked away. The one that pushed the school board and the police department to look away is the people’s choice, Joe Ochoa.

Joe is related to that certain teacher who had sexual relations with a certain student and now she is carrying his child. Did the former school board or the city police look into it? Answer is NO. Why cause these people are aligned with Joe.

Hey Joe, how does the word former look before your name? Because of this continues it seems like that is exactly what’s going to happen ... again.

I want to thank you all for emailing me with whatever is on your mind. Please continue to do so. Like I said in my last post, your names will be anonymous. I want to know what goes on in city government. Because if change is needed then change is what’s going to happen.

Eating @ the IT 2 Building Needs to Stop

"It’s been brought to my attention that some city council members meet for dinner at the IT 2 building in the employees snack bar 30 min. before the meeting.

The problem here is that if you have enough members eating dinner that to me is a quorum. And what do you think these council members are talking about? What’s on the agenda of course!

No signs of open government. No tape recordings. No video recording. Nada! You have several council members having dinner and talking about how they are going to vote on particular items on the agenda with nobody from the public even there.

Richard’s administration did this all the time. I hope Joe will tell the other members to eat before the meeting if they are hungry. Richard didn’t like this thing called open government. Here is where they would decide the fate of certain people, contracts, and deals. So by the time the meeting started they already knew who was getting what.

Joe Ochoa believes that open government is for all public viewing. He even believes all agenda packets should go on the internet. Not just notices like Richard did. Joe understands that open government is important to the citizens of Edinburg."

So from now on if your hungry before the meeting? Eat before you walk in the IT building. There may not be any wrong doing or there may be a lot of wrong doing while you all are there. Don’t put yourself in a situation, where we the voters, decide if there was any wrong doing at election time.

No Soup For You!

Edinburg News is too stupid to know when someone is making fun of him. That site was mirrored to allow the public a chance to comment on an otherwise fascist site. Here I open dialogue and I will delete any comments placed by E-news supporters.

If they want to post their lies ... then complain to Edinburg News to allow them to post comments. Oh wait, that's right. Edinburg News and Eddie Saenz' office will not allow comments.

Too bad, so sad. Until then, keep reading Edinburg Politics - Out of the Looking Glass. One of the few sites with unrestricted comments. :)

Alma Garza a True Politician

The anti Ochoa newspaper The Monitor forgot to mention one key thing that took place at the city council meeting this past Tuesday. Alma Garza took the initiative to side with Joe and Gus to table FNB’s contract.

Even though six top guns of FNB were in the audience. She decided to set the tone by making sure people know that Alma was for the taxpayers of Edinburg. And she would not be intimidated by special interest groups such as FNB.

I figure Mr. Ochoa ,after being mayor for three years, would want to run for higher office. That would pave the way for Alma Garza to be our first woman mayor of Edinburg.

The Ochoa Difference

Last night’s meeting was an interesting site. You had Gene wanting to go ahead and pass the contract for First National Bank (typical). As for Joe Ochoa and Gus Garcia they both wanted it tabled. With the help of Alma Garza, Joe was able to table it for next meeting.

It seems like Gene wants to continue doing business with FNB and David Rogers. Even after 900 voters told Eddie Johnson (pres. of FNB) NO. Seems like the swing vote comes in Alma Garza. You got Noe and Gene on one side. Then you have Joe and Gus on the other. Who is Alma Garza? How can she benefit from going to Joe’s side? How can she benefit going to Gene’s? Stay tuned!!

Hey Gene and Noe remember the voters spoke loud and clear who they think should lead our great city. The powers of old are gone. And you either continue to be with the Palacios group or you decide to join the people’s choice?

Gene happens to be running in two years. A lot can happen in two years. And if I was Gene I would look at the voting numbers. They suggest that change is good. So what would I do? I would come aboard the Ochoa difference.

You see the Palacios are so confused about what just took place. They have no idea how they were able to lose by 500 in the mayor’s race and 900 votes in the other race. It’s called being exposed. Now the Palacios have been branded. What does that mean? It means whoever they choose to endorse and help out next time? The taxpayers are going to say this is the person that is going to help the Palacios out on their taxes.

The Ochoa difference consists of a lot of families that got together to make a difference. Gene you should consider getting on board. These are the same people you represent and they basically told your former mayor and councilman to get lost. That has to concern you and anyone else in your clique.

As for Noe Garza? Don’t really know what to make of him. You have to believe if that gentleman had filed before the deadline. I honestly believe we would have another voice for the Ochoa difference.

People voted for change. They didn’t like all these stalled projects. They didn’t need a new city hall. They don’t want you to destroy historical buildings. And they don’t want anything to do with the Palacios family.

So go ahead and think it over. You will realize that change is good. Join the Ochoa difference and watch our city prosper. Join the 900 or the 500 voters that said NO to the Palacios in city government.

P.S As for Gilbert Gracia Jr. he happened to be there at Fast Eddie’s completely drunk. And he decided to hit and push a female, who happened to help Ochoa on his campaign. I hope they press charges on this worthless being. I don’t care what side you’re on. You never hit a woman. I don’t know much about this guy. But I do understand some of the Palacios group was with him last night.

First National Bank's Contract Up for Renewal Tonight at City Council Meeting

People like to be around winners and today was no exception. The City Auditorium was packed with over 300 supporters of Joe Ochoa and Gus Garcia. Judge Letty Hinojosa swore in Joe and Ramon Garcia swore in Gus. After months of hard work in the campaign, I was so glad to be part of an event like this.

Today will be the first meeting for Joe and Gus. Looking at the agenda seems like FNB’s contract is up. This should be an interesting event in itself. I figure FNB was so confident that Richard would return as mayor. They decided to put this on the agenda right after the election. Man, were they wrong!

I noticed Earn My Vote has how to recall an election on there blog. What are you going to say? That there was corruption involved at city hall during the election? Oh I forgot that Richard and his hand picked staff ran the election and still lost.

Gene I noticed people saying how vocal you are. Where was your voice when the elderly and disabled needed you?

It’s time to start cleaning house at city hall and the EDC. Remember how Richard did that when he first took office. Well it’s payback time. Stay tuned

The Agony of Defeat

Edinburg News will continue to report daily, but will be turning off the comments. There have been too much libel and profanity things being said about people that aren’t even involved in politics. Seems like the Palacios family can’t take losing like they do winning.

Tomorrow at 11:30 Joe Ochoa will be sworn in as our new Mayor. If you’re interested in attending it will be at the city auditorium for those of you who are interested.

Seems like a lot of people in our community are either surprised or shocked by the outcome. Seems like the 2 things I’ve been hearing that made a difference was the property tax freeze for the elderly and disabled and the flyer Edinburg News sent out in reference to these Palacios and the taxes they pay. This really got people wanting to go to the poll and make there opinion known.

What should be the first order of business if I were Mayor Ochoa? Ask for an audit! To see who got money and how much? I figure I know who got most of the money. But let’s have it on paper just to prove to the people that still think these Palacios are not rats. I understand the Palacios were really upset at the victory party for Omar and Richard Garcia at Monte Cristo Golf Course. And you should be no more easy money.

If you ever ate breakfast with Nick at the Adobe, you would understand how much the city meant to him and his business. He would always make comments like. There is no way Im going to lose the city. Well guess what Nick YOU LOST

The elderly and disabled said No to Richard Garcia!

And the community said Edinburg is about all families and not just one!

P.S. Hey Richard look at the numbers? The Palacios dropped you like a hot potato. When the going gets tough the Palacios seem to drop there candidates.
